Dick Smith calls time on Boxing Day sales
Mon, 24th Dec 2012
FYI, this story is more than a year old

For customers wanting to avoid the Boxing Day sales madness, Dick Smith is launching its Boxing Day sale early this year, with discounts online from 6pm this evening.

Customers will have unrestricted access to all sale items online, ahead of those that will be available in-store from the 26th.

According to Nick Abboud, the new CEO of Dick Smith, Australia and New Zealand, the days of Boxing Day queues are over.

“We understand that shopping behaviour is changing, and we want to offer customers the best sales shopping experience this year," he says.

"We don't want customers to have to wait until Boxing Day, which is why we have discounts across a whole range of products, going live online, from 6pm Christmas Eve.

“This is going to be the biggest Dick Smith sale yet – we've never offered bargains like this before. Of course, for those who still prefer the in-store shopping experience, our specials are available in store with the Boxing Day sales,” Mr Abboud said.
