Spotify reveals greatest ‘ghost’ tracks

Spotify, is celebrating Easter this year by hunting for eggs of a different kind, trawling through their catalogue of over 20 million songs to uncover the best of hard-to-find hidden and/or bonus tracks.

Hidden tracks, sometimes known as a ghost tracks, are techniques often used by artists to surprise music fans by hiding an un-named song within another track.

The best of playlist, compiled by Spotify, features a collection of some of these hidden tunes from some of the world's most popular artists.

From pop rock superstars Coldplay, to eclectic hip hopper M.I.A., and indie darlings Arcade Fire, Spotify's finds feature something for everyone and are sure to surprise even some of the bands' biggest fans.

· Waiting For You - An ode to his mother by Pharrell Williams on N.E.R.D's 2004 album “Fly Or Die

· Somebody Else's Child - Justin Young's feelings about feeling disconnected from his father on The Vaccines' 2011 album, “What Did You Expect From The Vaccines

· Damone - An apparent reference to cult movie, “Fast Times At Ridgemont High” from The Deftones' 1997 album, “Around The Fur

· Me, White Noise - One of the few Blur songs to contain a swear word from their 2003 album, “Think Tank

· Supersymmetry - A song by Arcade Fire designed to be listened to backwards and forwards at the same time from their 2013 album, “Reflektor

· Whoops Now – A hidden track on Janet Jackson's 1993 album, “Janet” that was re-released as a single and reached number 1 in New Zealand's Singles Chart
