Fans of Star Wars: The Old Republic will be able to play the game on local servers from March 1, publishers Bioware have announced.

The Asia Pacific servers will incorporate players from New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore.

In a release naming the local launch date, Bioware co-founder and MMO general manager Greg Zeschuk acknowledged fans' long wait for local access.

"We appreciate that our fans in these countries have been patient and we are excited to deliver this same great customer experience to players this March,” Zeschuk says.

The standard edition of the game will retail for $89.99, while the digital deluxe edition will retail for $99.99. Subscriptions will be charged at different rates for one month, three months or six months of access.
