FYI, this story is more than a year old

Facebook have just announced the shortlist for their 2014 Studio Awards with two campaigns by, Samsung’s ‘Smartphone Line’ and Amnesty International’s ‘Trial by Timeline’, being selected.

Only 36 campaigns from around the world have been selected and Colenso, a New Zealand agency, is one of only two agencies to have two campaigns shortlisted.

The Facebook Studio Awards are held annually and celebrate creative excellence and best-in-class work on Facebook, with over 100 countries submitting work.

The judging panel includes some of advertising and social media’s best and brightest, including David Droga and Mark D'Arcy, the Chief Creative Officer of Facebook. Last years overall winner (recipient of the Facebook ‘Blue’ Award) was the Oreo Daily Twist.

“Social and digital are playing an increasingly important role in advertising and brand communications and within this space Facebook are unquestionably the global leaders," says Neville Doyle, Senior Digital & Social Strategist, Colenso BBDO.

"It is often the go to site for brands and consumers alike which means there is a lot of amazing work produced on this platform each year.

"To have two nominations, and to be the only New Zealand agency to be on there is encouraging as are constantly working to make our ever-evolving social and digital offering better. It’s good to know it’s hitting the mark.”
