Never miss a beat with Spotify's latest update
Mon, 8th Aug 2016
FYI, this story is more than a year old

From the digital music service Spotify, comes its latest update - Release Radar.

The new playlist gives listeners the opportunity to find out as soon as their favourite artist drops a new tune.

With the new update, Spotify says it's giving listeners a weekly selection of the newest releases that matter most, in one convenient playlist. All of your favourite music, without having to trawl through playlist, upon playlist.

Updated every Friday, Release Radar will have almost two hours of the newest drops from the artists you follow and listen to the most, along with some new discoveries Spotify thinks you might enjoy.

The music service says Release Radar is the perfect sidekick for New Music Friday, connecting listeners to hot new artists they may not yet know about.

The playlist will appear in the ‘New Releases for You' section within the Discover area on your mobile or desktop.

Matt Ogle, senior product owner at Spotify, says with the huge amount of new music released every week, it can be difficult to keep up with the latest tracks.

“With Release Radar, we wanted to create the simplest way for you to find all the newly released music that matters the most to you, in one playlist.

Spotify states that as your music taste evolves, so will Release Radar. The more you listen, the better it gets.

Like the nature of all of your other playlists, you can access and listen to it across all of your platforms and devices, share it with friends, or make it available offline.
