Nintendo has sadly announced that its president Satoru Itawa passed away earlier today.  Nintendo issued a short statement announcing the sad news:  "Nintendo Co., Ltd. deeply regrets to announce that President Satoru Iwata passed away on July 11, 2015 due to a bile duct growth." Iwata had to skip attending E3 2014 due to ill health. Even though he had undergone surgery to remove the growth, it wasn't enough to rectify the problem entirely.  Some of the famous Nintendo games he worked on over the years included Earthbound and Ballon Fight. He was appointed as the company's president since 2002.
