FYI, this story is more than a year old

As Apple's WWDC nears a close, the tech world will remember it for iOS7, iTunes Radio and a number of new product updates.

But before the doors shut on the Moscone Centre in San Francisco, news of 'Jobs', the Steve Jobs movie is set for release.

With a August 16 premiere pencilled, the biopic detailing the rise of Apple through co-founders Jobs and Steve Wozniak could be Apple's biggest release of the year - wanted or not.

Produced by Open Road Films, the movie has received mixed reviews in the press, yet promises to “plunge into the depths of his character, creating an intense dialogue-driven story that is much a sweeping epic as it is an immensely personal portrait of Steve Jobs’ life."

Upon entering the soon to be launched website of the movie, users are greeted with the following message: "What emerges from this garage will change the world forever."

Yet damaging criticism from Wozniak earlier this year could dampen interest, with the Apple co-founder insisting Jobs would have been "offended and embarrassed" by Aston Kutcher's portrayal of him.

Referring to the clip below, Woz said: "As far as the personalities that were in that scene [laughs] this was just ridiculous.

"Like Steve Jobs as some sort of 'oh my gosh, I'm the father of society, I've got the ideas that are gonna drive the--' No, he didn't act like that at all."

The film's publicist did reply at the time however, insisting the film "is not a documentary, nor is it meant to be a blow by blow, word for word account of all conversations and events.

"It is feature film entertainment about one of the most important, creative and impactful people [in] our culture's history."

Why don't we just let the public decide? So, will Jobs be a success? Tell us your thoughts below
