7000 downloads for Kiwi Realestate app
Mon, 13th Dec 2010
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Developed by Realestate.co.nz with a little help from Westpac Bank, the app is billed as a first for the likes of New Zealand.

Using the app’s GPS capabilities it finds properties for sale and open houses near you wherever you are in the country.

“It puts the majority of New Zealand residential properties for sale at the fingertips of any homebuyer with an iPhone, and immediately flags local property listings and times for open homes within one kilometre of the user,” says Realestate.

The free app went live at the end of November and has been downloaded more than 7000 times, ranking it the second most downloaded app in New Zealand in its first week on the iTunes site.

CEO of Realestate.co.nz, Alistair Helm, said, “If you’re one of the 200,000 Kiwis who own an iPhone, this app is going to give you unprecedented mobile access to the housing market and show you the available properties in your area of choice.”
