FYI, this story is more than a year old

As traditional media continue their struggle to keep pace with online news (see page 8), two leading US newspapers have teamed up with Google in an experiment aimed at changing the way news is viewed on the Web.Google Living Stories, a collaboration between the search engine, The New York Times and The Washington Post, gathers together the coverage of a developing story and prioritises it under one URL. The reader can navigate between features, news items and opinion pieces without waiting for separate pages to load. Each story has an evolving summary of current developments as a well as an interactive timeline of critical events. Stories can be explored by themes, significant participants or multimedia. Updates are highlighted each time the reader returns, and older content is summarised.Have a look at how it works at www.livingstories.googlelabs.com
