FYI, this story is more than a year old

Adobe has released a range of new features and enhancements to its Photoshop platform – Photoshop Elements 15 and Premier Elements 15.

“Over the years, the Elements products have emphasised easy photo and video organisation, editing, creation, and sharing. Elements combines powerful behind-the-scenes technology magic adapted from our professional apps with a user friendly UI and modes for every level of user to deliver an ideal mix of power and ease-of-use for creating and sharing your special moments,” the company says in an official blog post.

Adobe says for this release, it focused on further automating the organisation and editing process, so Elements does the ‘heavy lifting'.  “We've also expanded our selection of Guided Edits so it is even easier to get started and continue to bridge the gap between photo and video editing by bringing familiar photo features and terminology to life in Premiere Elements,” the company explains.

Features include:

  • Adjust Facial Features – Enables users to adjust squinting eyes, change facial expressions and make other quick tweaks so that everyone in the photo looks 10/10;
  • Touch Enabled - Organiser and Quick Edit mode are now touch friendly so that users can simply tap to do all their finding, sorting, and quick enhancements;
  • Smart Tags - Elements now automatically tags photos based on subjects such as “sunsets,” “birthday,” “dogs,” “cats” and more. Sorting photos has never been easier;
  • Remix - Makes matching music files with different length video clips a thing of the past.  Any music file can now be easily remixed to match the length of the video movie with a natural sound and transition.
