Every now and then we get the morbid feeling that we want the entire world to die a painful nasty death.
The world sucks so much that all you want is for the world to go up in flames. Or alternatively, you want to relive 2012 again.
With Pandemic 2.5, those dark and twist fantasy can become a reality… or at least on your iOS screen.
The main goal in this game is to kill everyone on the planet by releasing a deadly disease, which you can choose from either being bacterial, virus or parasitical.
By slicing in different symptoms, support genes and traits, you can make the disease become more lethal.
From one randomly chosen country, you aim to spread the disease all over the globe while the world’s top scientist strive to find a cure before all hope is lost.
Not many games have rhinorrhoea, fever, nausea, diarrhoea, and delusional parasitosis as attack abilities. To be honest, I’m not even sure what the last disease actually is, nor do I want to find out.
The game however does a great job at explaining these symptoms, so you don’t have to be a doctor to enjoy this game, although doctors will enjoy going against the doctor’s creed of doing no harm.
Although the game is fun to play the first few times, it gets tiresome. It feels like some glorified board game.
There isn’t much strategy involve, nor much skill and a play-through should only take a few minutes or so to complete. The game is amusing but don’t expect it to keep your attention for long.
You’ll die of boredom before the deadly plague kills you.
