Apple approaching iPad Mini release
Tue, 23rd Oct 2012
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Apple will release the iPad Mini tomorrow, with expectations for the smaller-sized tablet already reaching fever pitch.

The tablet giant, who already dominates 68% of the market share, is expected to unveil a downsized version of the iPad, with a 7.85-inch Retina display screen in 16 different versions.

After distributing invites for the scheduled event in California tomorrow, Apple teased the waiting media offering only the line, “We've got a little more to show you”, with iPad Mini rumours flooding the net.

While Apple didn't mention the iPad Mini, it is expected to release 16 versions of the product, including memory, colour and network options.

That is according to Mobile Geeks, who claims German electronics retailer Media Markt has the product in 16 flavors in its inventory system.

The inventory apparently shows the tablet available at 8, 16, 32 and 64GB configurations, coming in either black or white with a choice of 3G or Wi-Fi connectivity.

The company also added more weight to the ongoing rumor mill with the apparent order of 10 million iPad Minis from Asian suppliers last week, more than double as many products as Amazon's lower-priced Kindle Fire.

Apple will also announce a refreshed version of its full-sized 9.7-inch Retina display iPad tomorrow according to 9to5mac.

Retaining the same features as the current third-generation model released around six months ago, the new iPad is said to be a tweaked product and not a complete revamp.
