Apple iPhone invites boosts Wall Street
Wed, 5th Sep 2012
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Apple has increased Wall Street trading after posting invitations for an upcoming San Francisco event, believed to be showcasing the next generation iPhone.

The world's most valuable company sent out the invites for the September 12 event, taking place at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts at 10:00am, with late afternoon trading in the Big Apple rising 0.09%.

While not representing the biggest activity on the stock exchange floor, Apple's invite increased speculation and expectation as the company prepares for its ‘biggest’ second-half product launch in history.

The electronics firm is set to release a host of new products with experts believing it will include the sixth-generation iPhone along with an iPad mini in October.

Online rumors have speculated the new iPhone will possess a larger screen and thinner body but sources close to Apple remain tight lipped with the announcement only a week away.

Are you as bothered by the next generation iPhone as everyone else? Tell us your thoughts below.
