Popular daily deal website GrabOne is looking to give kiwis a broader appreciation for wine by hosting its first ever live online wine tasting session.

The tasting, organised by GrabOne's wine arm, GrabOne Bottle, is to be hosted by wine aficionado Jayson Bryant, and will be streamed live via Facebook from 8pm on Thursday 30th.

A package containing two bottles of each of the three wines to be sampled is currently on sale, with purchasers encouraged to enjoy the wines as they listen to Bryant's expert opinions.

The wine package, featuring a Koura Bay Sauvignon Blanc, an Ant Moore Pinot Gris and a Ripponvale Central Otago Pinot Noir, costs $51, or $8.50 per bottle.

GrabOne marketing executive, Andy Hunter, says the tasting is a great way to support the boutique vineyards GrabOne Bottle has been working with since its launch in December last year.

"Jayson is definitely one of New Zealand's most passionate wine commentators,” Hunter says, "and he'll do a great job of bringing together wine lovers from across the country.
