Australian govt finally intro's R18 game bill
Thu, 16th Feb 2012
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Authorities in Australia have finally introduced a bill to establish an R18 rating in the country's game classification system.

The move will come as a relief for both players and publishers, who have previously had to modify games to meet the MA15 rating or not sell them at all.

That relief is still some way off though, as the change probably still won't be introduced until January 1, 2013, and that's assuming the government agrees to pass it into law.

A discussion paper about the R18 rating released in 2009 received 58,437 submissions, 98% of those in support of the change.

Can you imagine being unable to play R18 games? Which do you think you'd miss the most?
