Bugger me! The tony williams collection

TVNZ has released a collection of archival footage from the career of Tony Williams, creator of some of New Zealand’s most iconic television commercials.
As well as being responsible for such well-known and beloved ads such as the Crunchie Train Robbery commercial, Bugger, Spot and the BASF Cassette ‘Dear John’ ad, Williams also produced numerous award-winning indie TV documentaries (including one following country rockers Kenny Rogers and the First Edition and their tour of New Zealand), as well as several feature films including the cult horror classic, Next of Kin.
This is the film that Quentin Tarantino commended as "mesmerising”:
"Next of Kin has a similar tone and feel [to The Shining] – which is one hell of a f***ing compliment to give a movie. And I’m not overpraising it!”
Featured at www.nzonscreen.com is a huge selection of Williams’ work, and in addition to his iconic television commercials, viewers can access the feature film Don’t Let It Get You from 1966, as well as 14 full-length documentaries, including Lost in the Garden of the World, Keep Them Waiting and The Sound of Seeing.
In addition to the above listed titles, the collection also features behind-the-scenes commentaries and essays written by filmmaker Michael Heath. The collection offers a startling glimpse into New Zealand culture and filmmaking.
