Tue, 11th Sep 2012
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Apple will sell US$17bn worth of Macs and iPads through out the corporate industry by the close of 2012, according to new findings from Forrester Research.

The results suggest the world's most valuable company will shift $10bn worth of iPads along with $7bn of Macs to the corporate market, single-handedly keeping PC hardware sales above water for the year.

While global corporate spending on Wintel PCs is expected to be down 3% this year, Forrester says Mac and iPad sales within the industry will reach $23bn by 2013, recording a 35% increase.

The research group also reported a 1.3% increase in global technology purchases for the year so far, reaching $2 trillion in payments with growth of 4.3% expected for 2013.
