FYI, this story is more than a year old

Capcom has released a new title update for Dead Rising 3 in advance of the game’s first DLC episode, ‘Operation Broken Eagle.’

The update introduces a host of improvements to single-player and co-op gameplay, including a variety of performance and stability upgrades, and fixes for issues related to achievements, UI updates, SmartGlass and more. Additionally, it adds a new impulse trigger feature that notifies players when they are running low on ammo.

‘Operation Broken Eagle’ is the first episode in the “Untold Stories of Los Perdidos” DLC series. This single-player episode puts you in control of Spec Ops Commander Adam Kane on a mission that challenges everything he believes and sets him out to capture the missing President of the United States.

‘Operation Broken Eagle’ features a new mission, five new weapons, one new combo weapon, one new vehicle, a new clothing outfit, plus additional Gamerscore and the ability to carry experience points back to “Dead Rising 3.”

Since the game launched last November, “Dead Rising 3” players have killed more than 16 billion zombies – more than twice the world population of people – and have logged more than 14 million hours of gameplay.

With stats like these, it should be no surprise that “Dead Rising 3” is now the third best-selling Xbox One title and the fifth best-selling title across next-generation platforms.

Zombie-hungry fans looking for a way to play even more “Dead Rising 3” can obtain the “Dead Rising 3” Season Pass, which includes ‘Operation Broken Eagle’ and the three additional upcoming content packs. Each episode will feature new gameplay, playable characters, missions, weapons, and more.
