Dell proposes keyboardless, monitorless computer

FYI, this story is more than a year old

Dell has unveiled the winner of the Dell Sustainable Design contest.

It’s called ‘The Froot’ and it is designed to do away with the traditional PC monitor and keyboard.

Instead, The Froot utilises two projectors, the first projecting the monitor display onto a nearby wall and the other projecting a keyboard onto the table in front of the user.

The Froot is the brainchild of industrial designer, Pauline Carlos. It is built from a starch-based polymer and is biodegradable, and still features traditional USB ports and has a disk drive.

It is currently still in the design stage.
