Gamespot has reported that Electronic Arts' share price on the Nasdaq stock exchange has fallen by US$1.05, with analysts leveling the blame at the current crop of published online reviews coming to the surface.

According to Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter, mediocre reviews are to blame for the sudden dip in the company's stock value. "This can dampen future catalogue sales as word of mouth dampens consumer enthusiasm," he told Reuters.

Gamespot also cited Lazard Capital Markets' Colin Sebastian who told the Wall Street Journal that the incoming scores are "certainly bugging people". Eric Handler of MKM Partners told the WSJ that "some of the air is being let out of the balloon following nice run in the shares and high expectations for the Medal of Honor reboot".

At the time of writing, Medal of Honor currently held a rating of 74 for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions on Metacritic, with the PC version tailing slightly at 73. Generally, many publishers consider a Metacritic rating of less than 90 a death knell.
