Rumours about an Apple tablet have been swirling for months, but with Apple’s recent announcement of a January 27th event, many think that the company will finally unveil the tablet. 

Apple sent out an invitation for the event to the press earlier this week with the simple tagline “come see our latest creation”. The event will be held at San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.

The functions and basic specs of the device are unknown, as is the name, but analysts and experts predict that the event will showcase the tablet and the device will ship later this year.

Rumoured names include the iBook, iSlate, iPad and Apple Slate.
