JailbreakMe developer lands Apple internship
Mon, 29th Aug 2011
FYI, this story is more than a year old

A 19-year-old hacker going by the alias Comex has been awarded a coveted internship at Apple, despite being responsible for a tool that has helped millions of people jailbreak their iOS devices.

Comex, outed last month by Forbes as New York State resident Nicholas Allegra, is the young man behind JailbreakMe, a website which allows iOS users to bypass download restrictions on their devices.

He announced he had secured the internship on Twitter last week. At the time of publication, the JailbreakMe site still lists his request for a job or internship ‘where I can help make something really cool’.
