Kordia celebrates IT's unsung heroes
Wed, 26th Sep 2012
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Kordia are giving IT people their time in the sun and the chance to win a trip for two to the NASA Centre in Florida.

The telecommunications provider has launched the IT Superhero Award, aimed at acknowledging the unsung heroes in your business.

Whether it be that guy or girl with super-human powers who keeps your vital business systems running and lets you buy stuff on Trade Me in your lunch hour, or the person who sits in the parts of the office where no one goes, with no windows and worn carpet, these are the bunch of guys and girls we’d be royally stuffed without.

These IT workers don't get to attend fancy awards dinners like marketing, don't wield power like finance or get to lunch in fancy restaurants likes the sales team, but they keeps the engines of business running.

Dealing with our petty problems like ‘I can’t print’, or ‘I can’t find the on switch’, Kordia wants to acknowledge their services through your help.

Professionals within the industry have the chance to either nominate or vote for a worker they believe deserves special mention, and with it a shot of the grand prize.

Kordia is offering the lucky winner a return trip for two to Orlando, Florida, taking in a tour of the Kennedy Space Centre Visitor Complex plus five nights of accommodation.

And if this wasn't enough to persuade you to take part, the winner's company will receive $500 cash for an office shout to celebrate their victory.

Still not convinced? Kordia says all nominators will go into the draw to win one of 50 $20 iTunes gift cards.
