NetherRealms Studios has told the US Official PlayStation Magazine that Kratos, the antihero and protagonist of the God of War franchise, is set to feature as a playable character in next year's Mortal Kombat.

Very little has been revealed about the nature of Kratos' appearance other than the fact that he'll boast his own combat moves, God of War-themed combat arena and, most importantly, unique fatalities. It's understood that Kratos won't factor into the game's story mode or wider canon and will feature as a cameo only.
