South Korean manufacturer, LG, has said it’s developing an Android-based tablet PC due for release in the fourth quarter of this year.
While official specs of the device have yet to be released, the company said it would offer "vastly superior performance" when compared to other tablets in the market.
LG also said its tablet would be thinner and lighter. No further details were released.
Back in April, Google itself officially confirmed that it is working on a tablet computer to rival Apple's iPad.
Earlier today Vodafone said it would soon announce price plans for the New Zealand launch of iPad.
