Wed, 27th Oct 2010
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Nintendo of Australia has announced that two new limited edition Wii packs (one of which includes a red console) and a special Nintendo DSi offer will be available in New Zealand next month.

Firstly, the limited edition red Wii with New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Wii Sports and a pre-installed Virtual Console version of the original Super Mario Bros. will be available at New Zealand retailers for $395 from November 11th. The version of Super Mario Bros. included on this particular Wii will replace the question marks on the iconic boxes with "25".

A limited edition Mario Kart Wii pack, including Mario Kart Wii, a Wii Wheel, Wii Sports and the aforementioned pre-installed version of Super Mario Bros. will also retail for $395 from November 11th. The Wii console included with this pack will be in the classic white colour.

Finally, Nintendo will provide a complimentary copy of Mario Kart DS with any purchase of a Nintendo DSi for a limited time from November 4th. According to a press release from Nintendo, Mario Kart DS is the "third best selling game for Nintendo DS of all time". Nintendo DSi units currently retail for $329.

CORRECTION: The red Wii bundle does not include Mario Kart Wii, as was originally posted. Apologies for any inconvenience caused by the inaccuracy.
