Last week The Channel reported exclusively that Renaissance is gearing up to launch its own in-house brand, which CEO Richard Webb said wouldn’t be too “dissimilar to Virgin”.
The name ‘Yoobee’ was registered on June 15th by AJ Park on behalf of Renaissance but when questioned the company wouldn’t confirm or deny the outing of the new name.
The Channel has since learnt that the Renaissance re-brand has far wider-reaching implications and will also include the MagnumMac retail business.
When contacted for confirmation and further details, Renaissance Communications Manager Joanna Burgess said, “We are really not ready to talk about the brand rollout, it's work in progress at this point.”
Renaissance reported recently that the MagnumMac retail business returned to profit six months ahead of plan, reporting 17% year-on-year revenue growth for the first three months of 2010.
