Kotaku reports that a playable demo of Mass Effect 2 will hit the PlayStation Store next week.
Precisely which part of the popular sci-fi RPG players will get to test out is unknown. In any case, it's scheduled to arrive on the PSN from December 22nd.
The demo comes in anticipation of the release of the full game on PlayStation 3 late next month (January 28th, to be precise). Previously an Xbox 360 and PC exclusive, Mass Effect 2 is the first in the series to release on PS3. Since the game is known for incorporating data and decisions from the first game, the PS3 version will feature an interactive comic that will allow the player to make key decisions and set the scene for the sequel.
Mass Effect 3 was recently made official at the Spike TV Video Game Awards, and it's set to launch on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC simultaneously during next year's pre-Christmas holiday season.
