Thu, 17th Dec 2009
FYI, this story is more than a year old

New Zealand Xbox 360 gamers will soon have access to a more powerful wireless network adaptor, with Microsoft announcing the local release of its Wireless N Networking Adaptor.

The device offers more versatility and ease of use for New Zealand Xbox 360 gamers who wish to connect their consoles wirelessly to their home networks.

The Wireless N adaptor comes as good news for anyone using their Xbox 360 as a wireless media extender. The new adaptor is seven times faster and boasts twice the coverage area  of its predecessor. Not only does the new device minimise any latency issues for online gaming, but you can now stream movies and videos from your console in HD; something not afforded by the previous device utilising the Wireless G protocol.

The Wireless N adaptor is available from mid-December 2009 for NZ RRP $169.95.
