FYI, this story is more than a year old

Activision has released details of the 4th downloadable content pack for their cold-war shooter, Call of Duty: Black Ops.

The Rezurrection pack is the first entirely zombie-themed content pack released for the top-selling game.

With the November release of the next game in the Call of Duty saga, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, this is likely to be the last content pack released for Black Ops.

In the new Moon map, for the first time (possibly ever in the history of video gaming) players will be able dispatch zombies in a low gravity lunar setting. Featuring new weapons and high tech gear, the map promises to be a fitting climax to the zombie extravaganza that started with Call of Duty: World at War.

As well as the Moon map, the content pack also include four re-mastered zombie maps from World at War, previously only available to owners of the Black Ops Hardened and Prestige edition. These classic maps, Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt, Shi No Numa and Der Riese, are must-haves for fans of Call of Duty’s zombie mode. Rezurrection also provides players with an enhanced zombies soundtrack and a theme based on the new Moon map.

Die-hard Call of Duty fans that purchased the Hardened or Prestige editions of Black Ops, and thus already own the four re-mastered maps, will be able to download the other Rezurrection items for free.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops Rezurrection pack will launch first on Xbox 360. The pack will be available to purchase for 1200 MS Points from the Xbox Live Marketplace on 23rd August. The DLC will be available for the PlayStation 3 and Windows PC at a later date.

The next highly anticipated instalment in the first person shooter franchise, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be released in New Zealand for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC on November 8.
