It's a little hard to believe, but just to put the incredible numbers of iOS device sales you've been hearing about lately into some sort of context, Apple sold more iOS devices in 2011 than it did Macs in the past 28 years. I mean, that's quite a huge number of machines over a massive time period, and here are iOS devices like the iPhone and iPad just blowing that out of the water. Phenomenal. Macworld continues their great series on Mountain Lion with a nice hands-on with Notes and Reminders, just two apps making their way from iOS to the Mac. Previously Notes and Reminders resided in the Mail and iCal programs on the Mac, respectively, but in Mountain Lion it seems Apple are separating them out.

The Verge says the developer build of Mountain Lion isn't all that compatible with older Macs, and that integrated graphics aren't the reason to blame. According to a few other sources, Apple are seen as going completely 64-bit with Mountain Lion, and what this means is no 32-bit kernel extensions. Isn't it about time anyway?
