News: OWC dual hard drive kit, update to Mountain Lion, beyond .zip, and more!

OWC has released another dual hard drive upgrade kit, this time for the Mac Mini. The kit includes everything you need to upgrade your 2011 Mac Mini to have two hard drives instead of one, including the tools and flex cable: the only things that aren't included are the box are the hard drives you'll be upgrading with. What's even more interesting is that OWC has pointed out that the dual hard drive upgrade for the 2011 Mac Mini isn't for the faint of heart, as doing so involves a complete take-apart of the Mac Mini. Apple has released an update to Mountain Lion Developer Preview 3, bringing the build number from 12A178q to 12A193i. One new feature as discovered by 9 to 5 Mac is the new "Do Not Disturb" switch in Notification Center that allows users to block notifications and banners from appearing until they toggle it back off.

One of the many tools Apple includes with OS X is a built in archive utility to deal with zip files and other compressed files you find on the web. Named exactly that — Archive Utility — there are a few things you might not have known about it, as explained by Macworld.

Bartender is a still-in-beta Mac app that means you can now hide icons in the menu bar you don't want to see, wether the icons were placed there by apps you use or just by OS X.
