Electronic Arts has announced that Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 11 will support Sony’s upcoming motion controller, the PlayStation Move.

According to the press release from EA, the Move support will allow “an authentic interactive swing experience”.

The publisher also announced that one of the most prestigious tournaments in golf, The Ryder Cup, will also feature in the game. Players will select either a US or European squad and compete in a variety of competition formats.

Players will also be able to take a team online via Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network for the first time in the franchise’s history. This all-new mode allows up to 24 players to compete head-to-head in teams of 12 while discussing strategies with their teammates.

Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 11 releases for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo Wii on July 2nd.
