Nintendo turns Wii blue for London Olympics
Tue, 11th Oct 2011
FYI, this story is more than a year old

The third instalment of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, due out next month in preparation for the London 2012 event, will be available in a special bundle including a blue version of the Wii console, Nintendo has announced.

Unfortunately, the console will be the ‘newly configured’ unit announced last month, which lacks support for GameCube games and controllers.

The bundle will also include blue Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuk controllers, a copy of the game, and a sticker sheet.

More bundles are set to be announced soon, as Nintendo struggles to wring everything it can from the platform, which will be five years old in December.

Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games is due out in Europe and North America in November.
