Analyst Ovum has released a free app aimed at business travellers who want to stay in touch with market insight and research.
Called PocketAnalyst, the free iPhone app offer insight and analysis from Ovum’s global network of 150 analysts.
Adrian Drury, Ovum’s technology analyst, said, “The aim of the app is to map Ovum’s research and intelligence services to the schedule of our clients and partners, and complement our PC-based services. It connects users with our latest insight on developments on anything from cloud computing to the smartphone market and is a valuable tool for today’s business people.”
Features include:

- Analyst biographies – discover Ovum's analyst community and recently published insight
- Events – explore Ovum’s worldwide industry events for business leaders
We've contacted Ovum to see if the app will likely appear on other mobile platforms or whether it's iPhone exclusive.
Update: Ovum analyst Adrian Drury told us, "This is our test bed application and we are looking at Android and Blackberry, but no commitment to a timescale yet I'm afraid."
