PS4 reveals NZ launch date...

Great news for all people who pre-ordered the PlayStation 4, with the new console hitting the shelves of New Zealand on November 29.

Revealed at the Gamescom Trade Fair in Germany, Sony's statement also included a huge range of software and entertainment services that will be available to owners of the next-gen console.

Showing a commitment to delivering gamers fresh new experiences, the conference showcased PS4 titles from SCE Worldwide Studios – Rime, Hell Divers, Shadow of the Beast, Resogun and Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture.

Sony also announced upcoming games for the PS3 and Vita platforms with President and CEO of SCEE Jim Ryan saying: “We have always been committed to making next generation products but now we’re focused on making those products for next-generation gamers.”

Sony fans will also be excited to learn of a price drop to Vita and the PS3, as of from September 2 the Vita will be reduced to NZ$329.95 and the PS3 12GB model will retail for $329.95.

Announced via Twitch, the community platform for gamers, the deal will be globally available for PS4 owners, which will enable them to stream their gameplay as well as view live broadcasts of others as part of the ‘spectate’ feature.

Ubisoft also demonstrated and gave a world first look at Assassin’s Creed IV; Black Flag, using remote play on PS Vita.
