Renaissance joins Apple Consultants Network

[UPDATED] Launched yesterday in Australia and New Zealand, Renaissance Limited has joined the Apple Consultants Network in New Zealand after announcing significant financial losses for last year.

The announcement came on the heels of Renaissance's $2.7 million loss for the 2009 year, as detailed on the NZSX. Both MagnumMac and Renaissance Education Division (RED) were two parts of the business that didn't perform as well as expected. New CEO Richard Webb plans to detail his plans for the company in the March annual report.

The Apple Consultants Network is now available worldwide and is comprised of independent consulting companies that offer professional assistance with solutions for Mac, both for business and home.

Renaissance announced yesterday that the Apple Division, RED and Renaissance Service are all founding members of the network in New Zealand.

The companies in the network are not employed by Apple but, as a condition of joining, each company must hold current Mac OS X certifications, which allows them to provide service from basic setup to networking and other advanced solution deployments.

Each member of the network chooses focus areas, which include: home users, small-medium business, enterprise, K-12 education, higher education and creative professional. Renaissance has at least one outlet that focuses on each area, with most locations focusing on four.
