Review: Logitech Quickcam Vision Pro Webcam (For Mac)

The QuickCam Vision Pro is Logitech’s tilt at the Mac market - and presumably either the desktop Mac market, or those with older notebooks, or notebooks with broken inbuilt iSight cameras.

Pros: Installation is as simple as plugging it in; it’s the first Web camera we’ve ever seen that requires no drivers at all. Video quality through our Skype tests was very good indeed. The included hanging arm makes it easy to place above a monitor or on a desk.

Cons: But you’d want it to be, given the asking price. Given the number of Macs that come with inbuilt cameras, the Vision Pro has a very hard time selling itself, really.

Verdict: A great easy-to-install camera with perhaps the hardest time selling itself ever.
