Review: Rapoo 9060 Wireless Keyboard & Mouse Combo
Wed, 1st Aug 2012
FYI, this story is more than a year old

This wirless optical combo comes with a 5.6mm ultra-slim keyboard and mouse, connecting wirelessly through one nano-USB receiver.

The keyboard has all the standard functions of a regular keyboard, including a number pad. Keys are flat like those of  a laptop keyboard. There are extra function keys e.g. email, music, volume controls, and the arrow buttons also serve as page up and down etc.

The mouse is smaller than the average mouse but ergonomically comfortable. Scroll function is standard and can be clicked if needed for scroll lock. Comes with batteries and claims a battery life of up to 24 months for the keyboard and 18 months for the mouse if you switch it off when not in use.

Pros

  • Includes batteries.
  • Easy to install with a nano USB receiver plug and play functionality.
  • Full sized keys on the keyboard.
  • Matte finish and side grooves on the mouse helps with grip.
  • Battery pack for the keyboard also works to slightly raise the keyboard with rubber feet at the bottom to keep it secure.
  • 2.4GHz wireless connection which works for up to 10 metres.
Cons
  • No lights to indicate if the caps-lock, scroll-lock, or number-lock is switched on.
  • Batteries for keyboard and mouse are different sizes.
  • Minimal spacing in between keys and keys are flatter than a standard keyboard.
  • Number pad is also slightly different than a regular keyboard. NG
The Verdict

A good choice if you are after a set for a desktop or keyboard with a number pad for a laptop. Slim design means it will fit with almost every user. With batteries included you can use it straight from the box and the impressive battery life means you’ll be able to use it without worrying about changing batteries. For its size, Rapoo has managed to fit in most of the standard keyboard features with a few rearrangements, which is impressive to say the least.
