There’s no shortage of all-in-one anti-virus solutions for the PC, that’s for sure. Roxio’s Creator 2009 attempts to stand out from the pack with photo, video and music features, alongside an online storage

Pros: It’s undeniably a comprehensive package, and one that’s had a much-welcome makeover, with a simple ‘home’ screen that guides you through whatever task you have in mind.

Cons: The initial install was the second-slowest thing we’ve installed all year - right behind Windows Vista. While the tools themselves are suited to purpose, they’re not immediately creatively engaging, which might be a problem for users who want a lot of tweaking power. Some of the audio features, which promise automatic track selection based on music beats, were a bit hit-and-miss in our testing.

Verdict: A good comprehensive suite of anti-virus tools with a much-improved interface.
