Rumour: Remedy hiring for Alan Wake sequel
Mon, 4th Apr 2011
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Gamesector reports that Remedy has listed an opening for a lead level designer on Gamasutra that has the gaming community at large speculating about a sequel to last year's Alan Wake.

Of course, the listing could be for any old project, but the position's requirement of "an understanding of the basic rules of drama and storytelling" plays into the speculation rather well, given Alan Wake's story-driven focus.

Despite performing fairly well critically, Alan Wake didn't quite perform in the sales department, selling only 145,000 units in its first two weeks of release. Many critics contend that the game's sales were hurt by the proximity of its release to that of Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption.
