R.U.S.E. free-to-play multiplayer weekend announced
Fri, 16th Jul 2010
FYI, this story is more than a year old

From now until July 19th gamers with a Steam account can check out the multiplayer component of Ubisoft's upcoming real-time strategy game R.U.S.E. free of charge. Players will have access to all five factions (France, Germany, Italy, USA and the USSR) and seven maps of varying sizes. There's also an optional ranked-match ladder.

Developed by Eugen Systems, R.U.S.E. distinguishes itself from other RTS titles with its emphasis on deception, as its name suggests. Another much-touted feature is its level of detail scaling, which allows players to seamlessly zoom in on the action or pull back to view the full theatre of war.

R.U.S.E. releases for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on September 9th. Steam account holders can participate in the free multiplayer weekend by downloading the game here.
