Samsung Galaxy S shifts 5 million
Wed, 6th Oct 2010
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Samsung has sold over five million units of its Samsung Galaxy S smartphone and plans to launch the device in Japan later this month.

A statement from the company beamed, “The Galaxy S has been a phenomenal success in the global smart phone market, recording global sales of over five million units including more than two million units in the United States and more than one million units in Korea.”

It was announced this morning, finally, that Skype is now available on handsets running Android OS v2.1 and above but there are "problems" with Samsung's Galaxy S.

We’ve contacted Samsung for comment.
