Samsung says the Galaxy 580 is the latest in the firm’s portfolio of Android-powered devices to hit the street.

It’s described as “an affordable yet powerful social media device, providing an integrated mobile experience”, comes with DivX support and will take multiple audio formats.

“The Galaxy 580 underlines Samsung’s commitment to offer a smartphone for every lifestyle. This device has a number of distinct benefits that can be tailored to suit users’ personal tastes,” says the company.

The 580 features Samsung’s Social Hub that integrates contacts from across your social networks as well as the more intelligent features and applications you’d associate with the Galaxy S.
