Samsung New Zealand has announced that two new versions of its Galaxy Tab will ship in April: the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Galaxy Tab 8.9.

Both models ship with a suite of business solutions developed in collaboration with partners such as Cisco, Citrix, SAP and Sybase.

Samsung says the mobility solutions will provide flexibility and connectivity for mobile workforces, ensuring that users are able to operate more efficiently on the move.

"The Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9 are remarkable examples of Samsung’s constant innovation and show our dedication to designing premium tablets that fit the unique needs of consumers around the world,” says JK Shin, President and Head of Samsung’s Mobile Communications Business.

"By combining Samsung’s innovations in design and display with our exciting new user experience, we’ve created a new class of products that will lead the tablet market.”

Both models feature Samsung’s WXGA TFT LCD, as well as a screen design that increases the overall visible screen size while reducing the overall tab size. "With the thinner bezel, both of the tabs deliver the best picture quality in the industry,” boasts Samsung.

We contacted Samsung for pricing details but were told they're not available yet, even though the tablets are due to ship in the next three days.

Update: Samsung's just sent out a note saying the tabs will now launch in May.

Update 2: Samsung now says the release date for the tabs in New Zealand is to be determined.
