FYI, this story is more than a year old

New Zealand developer Sidhe Interactive's Shatter has won the Best Downloadable Title award at the Game Developers Association of Australia (GDAA) awards ceremony in Melbourne on December 7th.

Shatter is a breakout-style block-breaking game that has had over 50,000 downloads since its July release on the PlayStation Network Store.

“It feels great to get acknowledgement that Shatter has been highly considered by our peers in the Australasian industry,” said Sidhe Interactive's Business Development Executive Jos Russel “It's a great game and we hope to get as many people out there experiencing it”.

Despite being a New Zealand based developer, Russel said that Sidhe was still eligible for the Australian competition. “The Australian Game Developers Association has been very collaborative and welcoming of New Zealand studios,” he said. “It's an Australian industry event, but New Zealand companies are also welcome.”
