FYI, this story is more than a year old

Wellington-based game developer Sidhe Interactive has yet another international gaming award under its belt, with American gaming website IGN awarding Shatter best "PlayStation Store" game of 2009.

The game beat out a host of other worthy contenders including Critter Crunch, Fat Princess, Flower and PixelJunk Shooter. Having already picked up “Best Downloadable Title” at the Game Developers Association of Australia awards just last week, it has been quite a momentous time for the local lads.

IGN praised the game for its “jaw-dropping visuals,... beautiful evolution of classic gameplay” and “sweet tunes that deserve to be blasted”.
