Skinny Mobile has jumped on the broadband bandwagon with the announcement that it will offer a low cost internet connection.

The service will be available in selected 4G areas across New Zealand, the budget telco says. The connection will operate on Spark's 4G network.

Skinny says the offering will be New Zealand's cheapest prepay broadband package, with 60GB of data for $55 a month. Skinny Broadband will also be offered without the need for a landline.

An online address checker is available on the Skinny website so potential customers can check whether Skinny 4G Broadband will be available at their home.
