Telecom pushes $600 iPhone deal online
Fri, 28th Jan 2011
FYI, this story is more than a year old

Last November Telecom set its sights on Vodafone’s iPhone customer base with a deal offering a $600 account credit if you jumped the fence.

“Bring your iPhone 3G, 3GS or 4 to XT, sign up to a 24 month One Rate 180 plan or higher and get a $600 account credit, plus get double the included minutes in your plan for 24 months,” said Telecom.

The original deal wasn’t available to take up online but that’s now been changed.

Telecom’s new deal runs until the end of the month, or while stocks last. But it looks like the double minute deal has been dropped.

As an added incentive, Telecom is offering free SIM cards so Vodafone users can try out the XT Network.

“If you’ve got an iPhone, and you’re not already on XT, head into a Telecom Retail store now with a free SIM Voucher code and we’ll sort you out with a free Prepaid SIM card to test it for yourself. Then, once you’ve seen how fast XT is on your iPhone, we’ll give you a $600 credit when you sign up to any 24 month One Rate 180 (or higher) plan.”
