Sony kicked off its E3 presentation in Los Angeles this morning with a little discussion of 3D gaming, which the company firmly believes is the next big thing in gaming. And what better way to demonstrate exactly why Sony has such strong faith in the technology than with a demo of the game the company hopes will spearhead 3D gaming?

Killzone 3 was demonstrated for all in attendance, who were required to don glasses in order to experience the game in full 3D. The game has now been confirmed for release in February 2011. Check out the following (non-3D) footage below.
